Why use a VPN?

Why do I need to add a VPN configuration?

Apple requires an additional VPN configuration to allow redirecting all network traffic through a VPN. This is needed for every VPN app.

Why is blocking analytics and ad trackers important?

Personalized ads are usually based on trackers collecting your data. Blocking trackers, analytics, and ads in the Swiss VPN private browser helps improve security, privacy, and anonymity.

In-App Features

What features are included in the app?

Main premium benefits include unlimited VPN, faster connection speed, ad-free browsing, auto-connect (on-demand), acceleration, private browser protection, access to global regions, and multiple browser modes like VPN proxy and Tor.

How is ad blocking different from a browser plugin?

Swiss VPN blocks ads across your apps, while a browser plugin only blocks ads inside that browser.

What does turning on auto-connect do?

Auto-connect keeps VPN protection on by ensuring traffic goes through VPN before apps make internet connections.

What does Alternate IP do?

Alternate IP reconnects you to a new node in the same region, when possible. This improves the chance of getting an unblocked working IP without changing countries.

What are the different browser modes?

Swiss VPN includes three browser modes: Native, VPN, and Tor. You can switch modes depending on whether you want normal browsing, VPN-routed browsing, or stronger anonymity.

Why does the free mode show ads?

Free usage is ad-supported so we can keep core VPN access available without selling user data. If you want an ad-free experience and extra features, Premium is available.

How is the in-app browser different from private mode in regular browsers?

Regular incognito mode mainly hides local history. Swiss VPN’s in-app browser can route traffic through encrypted tunnels, hide your IP, and block trackers and ads for stronger privacy.

Issues & Troubleshooting

My VPN is not connecting. What can I do?

Some networks actively block VPN services. Disconnect and reconnect to another region, or use Alternate IP to get a new node in the same region.

An app detects a proxy/VPN and blocks content. What should I do?

Use Try Alternate IP to connect to a different server IP, or switch regions and test again.

The app asks me to purchase again, but I already paid. What should I do?

After OS updates, app reinstalls, or account sync delays, purchases may not show immediately. Use the Restore Purchases option first, then contact support if it still doesn’t appear.

Connection speed is slow. What should I do?

Connection speed depends on your network. Try an alternate server first. If it continues, contact support with details.

Where can I find redeem codes or offers?

Promotions and redeem codes are shared on our website, blog, and official social media channels, where active promo campaigns are usually posted first. Check the app and our Blog for the latest offers.
